Duke of Edinburgh

The Duke of Edinburgh is the world’s leading youth achievement award, aimed at young people aged 14-24.

Albyn School is a registered centre of the Duke of Edinburgh awards. The majority of our pupils will take part in the scheme whilst at Albyn and will find achieving the award life-changing.

The DoE award encourages the individual to develop their potential; to appreciate the needs of others and to be willing to contribute to their well-being; to enjoy physical activity; to prepare for and take part in an expedition over a specified number of days. The award also enhances pupil’s CVs and university applications.
