Success for Bruno Stars at the LipSync Battle 2018!

After the qualifying rounds, the final of the LipSync battle had promises of show-busting moves and oodles of talent and the acts certainly did not disappoint!

On Monday 5 March, the three acts, Marisha, Bruno Stars and SKL KIDS performed in front of tough judges, Imogen Bews, who you may have seen in various school musical performances and most recently, Animal Farm, Carly Davidson who is the fundraising coordinator at Friends of Anchor and our semi-celeb judge, Chris van der Wal, one half of the fantastic busking duo who joined The Script at the AECC in February.

All three acts impressively upped their game for the final and had the crowd cheering, laughing and singing along and were put in front of the judges for feedback.

Each group did very well but it was Bruno Stars made up of Euan McKnight, Miles Beeson, Mateus Grebogi, James Young, Viyom Varma and leading-man Feranmi Oluwadayomi (who may or may not have accidentally broken a guitar mid-performance) who stole the show!

A special thank you must go out to Mrs Becky Milne who organised the event along with Clan Douglas leader Mr Colin Currie! Over £1000 was raised for Friends of Anchor so thank you to all those who took part, judged, came to watch and those behind the scenes who helped to make this event possible!
