Albyn pupils, Gregor M, Magnus L and Samuel recently competed at the National Schools Regatta, held at Eton Dorney on the Olympic rowing lake and won a thrilling final to become J16 Coxed Four champions
The National Schools Regatta is the most prestigious junior rowing event of the year, attended by over 1,000 crews from throughout the UK. They started the day by topping the time trials sheet, going on to win their semi-final and then gold in a fast paced and breath-taking final, bringing home the Arundel Cup to Aberdeen Schools Rowing Association
The boys have shown incredible dedication to their sport, training up to 6 times per week, with an unwavering focus on winning this event. Gregor, Magnus and their teammates have had a hugely successful year, winning gold at multiple regattas in addition to the National Schools Regatta, including the Scottish Rowing Spring Regatta, Scottish Schools Head of the River, North East Regatta and the Scottish Rowing Indoor Championships!
Well done boys
