After acing her Higher exams, Albyn pupil Sanoja is now one step closer to her dream of becoming a surgeon.
“I am very happy with my results – they are better than I expected,” said the gifted pupil who received A’s in Chemistry, English, Geography, Human Biology and Mathematics.
Sanoja, who would like to study medicine, is currently preparing for her UCAT (University Clinical Aptitude Test) exam which is a standardised assessment designed to evaluate students’ ability to interpret numerical and written information presented in various formats. The exam is used by a number of UK and international universities to help them select applicants for medical and dental degree programmes.
Alongside her academic accomplishments, Sanoja participated in the School’s choir and played active roles in the Debating Society and EDI (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion) Club, leading meaningful discussions on important issues at School.
As she steps into the next chapter of her academic journey as a soon-to-be S6 pupil, Sanoja is gearing up to take on a leadership role she is very excited about.
She said: “I am going to be the House Captain for the Forbes Clan. I am really looking forward to working with my Clan and along with Mrs Pratt.
“I have really enjoyed the many opportunities here at Albyn and I have made a lot of friends.”
Sanoja has thoroughly enjoyed her time at Albyn, with one particular teacher making her experience particularly positive.
She said: “Mrs Prentice has been so caring ever since I first joined Albyn School three years ago.”
