1 in 10 of our S1-6 pupils is supported by our Bursary Scheme

Albyn School offers a Fees Assistance (Bursary) scheme to enable talented pupils who otherwise could not afford the fees to attend the School. Bursary Awards are means tested and available from P6 upwards.

Candidates will be required to sit an entrance test. The applicant’s parents or guardians will be asked to complete a Fees Assistance application form in addition to the normal application form for entry, in which they will be asked for detailed information as to their financial circumstances. This is to enable us to reach a fair decision with regard to the level of support needed. The information supplied will be treated in the strictest confidence.

The offer of fee assistance is entirely at the discretion of the Board of Governors. All applications are means tested and successful applicants are confirmed by the school along with offer letters in March. The level of fees assistance varies from 10% of the fees to, in certain circumstances 100% of the fees.

Fees Assistance awards will be tenable throughout the pupil’s time at the School, subject to terms and conditions. However, they are reassessed on an annual basis as circumstances do change and it is important to ensure fairness for all.

The fees assistance application round for 2022 – 2023 is now open.
