Pastoral Care

We are wholeheartedly committed to the welfare of all our pupils. Our pupils have positive attitudes and enjoy the wide variety of opportunities we offer. In the Lower School, Form Teachers play a central role in pastoral care of your children delivering the School’s programme of personal, social and health education and acting as the principal points of contact with parents.

In the Upper School, Form Teachers develop a holistic overview of their pupils’ personal and academic progress. Heads of Clan  a role akin to Heads of Houses in other schools – also play a key role in encouraging the personal development of your children. They monitor pupils’ behaviour and encourage a positive approach in their relationships with others. Our Head of Guidance is responsible for the Personal and Social Education of Upper School pupils. The PSE programme encourages pupils to follow an informative and thoughtprovoking curriculum for each year group designed to encourage the development of life skills. Should more serious pastoral issues arise during the time your son or daughter is with us, our Head of Guidance and Senior Management Team have a wealth of experience and expertise that can be drawn upon to help teenagers through the
challenges of adolescence.

We seek to maintain a meaningful dialogue with parents through written reports, Parents’ Evenings, web postings and newsletters.

Parents are welcome to contact the School if there are any concerns about their son’s or daughter’s academic progress or general welfare.
