2008-2009 Baker’s Dozen

Baker’s Dozen, one of the young Enterprise companies at Albyn School, won the Regional Finals of the Young Enterprise Company Competition at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre in May 2009.

Baker’s Dozen were awarded first prize for their presentation, interview and trade stand and second prize for their report. The members of the team: Aisling Halliday, Claire Roberts, Alice Graham, Jenny Oxlade, Sarah Newcombe, Michelle Walker, Brittany Robson, Christina Boyle, Suzanne Kidd, Jade Paterson, Laura Grant have been working towards this competition since August 2008.

The team beat other schools across Grampian and Mrs Stirton and Mrs Tannock, the teachers who run the Young Enterprise club in the school said: “The girls are a credit to the school”.

Richard Farleigh, an entrepreneur and former Dragons’ Den star was part of the judging panel who also gave the keynote speech and presented the prizes.
