Netball is a major girls’ sport and the School traditionally has a junior and senior team in the Upper School. The netball season runs from August through to April. Girls will compete against local schools in the Aberdeen Secondary Schools Netball League and will play around 12 league games a year. The games will take place on a week day after school at home and away venues.
This year we are extending our Netball fixtures further afield and entering teams into the Scottish Cup at Upper 1 to Upper 3. Pupils who are selected to be part of the netball squads are expected to attend regular training sessions and commit to fixtures in order to secure their place in the teams.
Training will take place in the Aberdeen Sports Village. We look to provide pathways for talented netball players by supporting and filtering them into senior clubs and district teams to further develop the needs and potential of our girls.
