Football is played by boys as a major sport between August and April. At present, the boys’ teams compete in around 15 fixtures each year. This includes participation in the Aberdeen Secondary Schools Football Association league as well as local, regional and national competitions including the Independent School Football Association National Cup.
Trials take place each August where the strongest squad of 15-16 boys will be selected. To retain a place in the squad, boys will be expected to commit to weekly training sessions and be available for match selection on Saturday mornings. Those who prove themselves will get the opportunity to be selected for the Aberdeen Schools Skill Competition and the Coca Cola 7s.
