Reports and Record Keeping

The Curriculum Framework 3-5 provides guidance on assessment, which we follow in Nursery.  During your child’s time in Nursery, his/her progress will be monitored by the staff and records kept.  We use these to compile a report which is passed on to the pre-school staff or the Lower1/Primary 1 teacher when your child transfers to Primary School.  You will get the opportunity to discuss your child’s progress at both formal and informal sessions during your child’s time spent in the nursery and you will be kept informed of their progress through nursery reports.

 

Parents are very welcome in the Nursery.  It is vital that the staff build a warm relationship with your child and it is of great benefit if he/she sees a warm partnership developing between parents and staff.  If you have any worries or queries about your child the staff will be delighted to deal with them at any time.
