Lower School
One of the most significant traditions of the Lower School is its ethos.
Much has been made recently of the importance of providing the kind of atmosphere in which pupils feel happy and secure.
Albyn has always provided an environment that enables each child to blossom and therefore fulfil his or her individual potential.
It is evident from our calendar of events that the Lower School children have a busy schedule. In addition, the staff work very hard behind the scenes to coordinate the children’s class work to form a cohesive programme enabling them to progress smoothly from year to year.
We aim to give a sound grounding all the basic skills, to arouse interest and develop potential in the expressive arts and to develop knowledge, skills and positive attitudes in relation to the environment, to other people and to each other.
We continue to offer the children a broad and balanced programme of work, to retain the opportunities and values which have always been present at Albyn and at the same time, prepare them for life in an ever-changing and demanding world.
