Fees

As an independent school Albyn has to charge fees in order to meet its costs. The School is a limited company set up, registered and operated as a charitable trust whose explicit purpose is the provision of education.

All income is therefore spent on the salaries of the employees or the resources and facilities of the school. Fees are reviewed annually in the Summer Term. Every effort is made to keep fee levels competitive at the minimum level necessary for the provision of excellence in all areas of the School.

To find out the current fees for the Nurseries and/or the Lower and Upper Schools please click on the appropriate link on the left of this page. Fees are billed termly in advance in the Lower and Upper Schools. Payment by direct debit is also possible. In the Nurseries the arrangments vary according to the type of place taken up.

Sibling Discounts are available as follows whilst all are enrolled at Albyn: 2nd child 5%; 3rd and other siblings 50%.

If a parent wishes to withdraw their child from Albyn, a term’s notice must be given. This means notice given before the first day of a term and expiring at the end of that term. A term’s notice must be given in writing if the Parents wish to cancel a place which they have accepted, or if Parents wish to withdraw a pupil who has entered the School.

Scholarships and Fees Assistance (Bursaries): For those who are interested in places for their children at Albyn but who might struggle to pay the fees we offer a number of Scholarships (awarded on merit according to academic, musical, artistic or sporting ability) and a means tested Fees Assistance Scheme. Please see the Scholarships and Fees Assistance sections under Admissions for further details.

Anyone requiring further information about any aspect of school fees should contact the School Bursar, Mr Colin Boag on 01224 322408.
