Albyn have been fortunate to be able to host a one day event in the hall on Monday, 16 November for our senior pupils in U3-U5. This is the BP Trading Challenge Roadshow.
The BP Trading Challenge is a one-day Roadshow for 14-19 year-old students. It is an engaging and fast-paced work-related activity that will be delivered in schools by an energetic team of BP presenters. The Roadshow will offer students the opportunity to put mathematical and enterprise skills into action through an exciting simulation of real-life trading.
Students will work together in teams, competing against each other to trade oil and make a profit, demonstrating skills and values that can contribute towards success in business.

2 two-hour sessions for fun, fast-paced team-orientated environment
Decision-making, risk-taking and communication skills
Enterprise capability and economic understanding
The opportunity for students to put mathematic and enterprise skills into action through an exciting simulation of real-life trading.
Functional skills and Personal learning and thinking skills in a work-related context.
The opportunity for teachers to observe a successful resource in action, for future use in the classroom.
The timetable is for UIV/UV to be there for the 1st session from periods 1-3 and then UIII to be in the 2nd session in the afternoon periods 6-8. The same set up for each of the sessions.
Following on from the Enterprising Science day, this is another fantastic opportunity for the pupils at Albyn.
