Albyn Tennis Teams Win North East Cup

Senior girls at Albyn School in Aberdeen yesterday competed in and won the North East Tennis Cup for the third consecutive year. The competition is for S1-S4 and took place at Countesswells tennis courts. This year the Cup was contested between Albyn School, Robert Gordon’s College and St Margaret’s School For Girls.

The Albyn team was a new senior team, with 3 new doubles partnerships and the girls played a competitive fixture for the first time. Of particular note was the performance of Rosie Henderson, an Upper IV pupil and Claire Munro, an Upper III pupil, their coach Mr Allan said: “They were outstanding and did not lose a match, It was the best that I have seen these two girls play”.
