Albyn Named Top Independent School in Aberdeen 2014

Albyn School has ranked as the top independent school in Aberdeen for the fourth consecutive year, according to The Sunday Times, November 2014.

The Sunday Times annual Parent Power Survey listed the top Scottish fee-paying secondary schools for their performance in Nat 5/Intermediate2 and Higher/ Advanced Higher Examinations last summer. Based on the 2014 examination results, Albyn School was rated as the 13th highest achieving Independent school in Scotland and shows Albyn School achieved the best results in Aberdeen with 73.1% of Higher and Advanced Higher papers being awarded an A or B grade and 79.9% of National 5 and Intermediate 2 papers being awarded an A grade.

Dr Long, Headmaster of Albyn said: “I am delighted to see the hard work of pupils and staff recognised at a national level and I commend them all for their commitment and dedication. Albyn continues to prepare its young people for the challenges of tomorrow with the introduction of a new Lower School Library, Performing Arts Studio, Fitness Studio and Senior Study Centre.”
