Albyn Pupil Wins 1st Place In Playing and Learning Art Competition

Max Mason, a pre-school pupil at Albyn School has won 1st Prize for Aberdeen City in the Playing and Learning outdoors, art competition. His prize was a gift voucher for £15 from the early learning centre and has received a certificate.

The judges at the School of Education at Aberdeen University had a difficult decision to make.

Well done Max!

Best In Show

We were delighted to learn of the success of one of our Upper 3 students, Jill Russell, who has been representing Scotland at a junior level at Crufts.

This achievement is especially notable as Jill has overcome considerable adversity in her journey to competition after her most experienced dog Sweet as Candy was tragically killed in a road accident. Together, Jill and Sweet as Candy competed against more senior teams to be ranked as top dog and handler in their section in 2010; successes which found recognition in the Agility Eye magazine.

However through her diligence and perseverance, Jill recovered from this setback and went on to compete with her substitute dog. Jill and her new team performed exceptionally well to achieve 5th place.

We are certain Jill’s dedication to training will see her achieve many more successes of this kind in the future.
