Councillors Give Go Ahead To Redevelopment Project
Tuesday, July 20th, 2010Aberdeen City Council’s planning committee has given planning permission for the Albyn School Redevelopment project. The project will involve renovating the school library, re-modelling some of the Victorian buildings, bringing together the nurseries onto one site, adding new state of the art laboratories and the creation of a new classroom block. This project aims to renovate and utilise the existing space on the Albyn site, rather than to accomodate an increase in pupil numbers as the school roll will increase by only 40-50 pupils in the next 3 years.
Collectively, these plans will equip a traditional School with twenty first century facilities and broaden the range of subjects that can be taught at Albyn.
There will regular updates on the Albyn School Redevelopment Project page on the school’s website.
